Club Policies

All members, guests, coaches, and staff are expected to treat one another with respect and courtesy at all times. Bellevue Badminton Club is committed to providing a welcoming environment for everyone regardless of age, gender, race, religion, nationality, disability, or skill level.

Prohibited conduct includes:

• Verbal or physical harassment, intimidation, or abuse of any kind
• Unsportsmanlike behavior on or off the courts
• Destruction or misuse of club property
• Disruptive or disrespectful behavior toward staff, coaches, or other members
• Use of profane or offensive language

Violations of this policy may result in a warning, suspension, or permanent revocation of membership at the club's discretion. Decisions are made by club management and are final.

Members may bring guests to the club. Guests must be accompanied by their sponsoring member at all times and must abide by all club rules and policies.

Guest fees apply and must be paid at the front desk prior to play. Guest passes are not transferable.

Frequent guests (visiting more than twice in a calendar month) are encouraged to purchase a membership. Club management reserves the right to limit guest access at busy times to prioritize member availability.

Guests who violate club policies may be asked to leave immediately and may be prohibited from returning.

Photography and video recording are permitted within the club for personal, non-commercial purposes. Out of respect for all members and players, please do not photograph or record others without their consent.

Commercial photography, media productions, or press coverage require advance written approval from club management. Please contact info@bellevuebadminton.com at least 5 business days in advance.

Bellevue Badminton Club may photograph or video record events, classes, and tournaments for promotional use. If you do not wish to appear in club media, please notify front desk staff in writing.

Children under the age of 12 must be supervised by a parent or guardian at all times while on club premises, unless they are enrolled in a supervised class or program.

Children are not permitted to play on adult courts during peak hours without adult supervision. Please check with front desk staff for designated family play times.

In line with our SafeSport commitments, all interactions between coaches/staff and minors must follow our two-adult rule: at least two adults must be present whenever a minor is in a one-on-one situation with a staff member or coach.

Parents dropping off children for class are asked to ensure their child is picked up promptly at the end of the session. Club staff cannot be responsible for unsupervised children outside of enrolled program hours.

All players must wear appropriate athletic attire including t-shirts, polo shirts, shorts, sweat suits, or tracksuits. Jeans and non-athletic clothing are not permitted on the courts.

All players must wear closed-toe, non-marking, rubber-soled athletic shoes. Street shoes and sandals are not allowed on court surfaces. YOU WILL NOT BE ALLOWED ON THE COURTS IN ANY OTHER SHOES.

Players in competitive-level programs are required to wear badminton-specific court shoes.

Rackets and shuttles are available for rental and purchase at the Pro Shop. Rental rackets are available on a first-come, first-served basis for $5 per racket. A photo ID is required for adults to borrow a racket.

Courts are reserved for players who have booked time through CourtReserve or are enrolled in a scheduled class. Do not occupy a court that has been reserved by another party.

• Respect the time limits of your court reservation. Please wrap up promptly so the next group can start on time.
• Keep noise levels reasonable. Excessive shouting or distracting behavior is not permitted.
• Clean up after yourself — collect all shuttles and remove personal belongings from the court when you are done.
• Do not walk across active courts. Use the designated walkways between courts at all times.
• Spectators must remain in designated spectator areas and avoid the playing surface.

Water and capped beverages are permitted courtside. To protect the court surface, all drinks must remain in sealed or lidded containers while on or near the courts.

Food is not permitted on or immediately adjacent to the courts. Please enjoy food in the designated lobby or lounge areas only.

Members are responsible for cleaning up any spills immediately. Please notify front desk staff of any spills on court surfaces.

Smoking, vaping, and the use of tobacco or cannabis products are strictly prohibited on all club premises, including indoor and outdoor areas.

Alcohol is not permitted on club premises unless explicitly authorized by management for a sanctioned club event. Any member found in violation of this policy will be asked to leave immediately and may face suspension or termination of membership.

Membership is open to individuals of all ages and skill levels. Members must have a valid account registered in CourtReserve and a signed liability waiver on file.

Membership is non-transferable and may not be shared. Each individual must have their own membership to access member pricing and court reservations.

The club reserves the right to refuse membership to any individual who has previously been suspended or banned for violations of club policies.

Memberships are valid for the term purchased (monthly or annual). Members will be notified prior to expiration.

Expired memberships result in loss of member privileges including discounted court rates, class pricing, and priority reservation windows. Access will revert to non-member rates until the membership is renewed.

The club is not responsible for missed renewal notices. It is the member's responsibility to keep their contact information up to date in CourtReserve.

Memberships may be suspended or terminated for violations of club policies, including but not limited to: failure to pay outstanding balances, harassment of staff or members, repeated disruptive behavior, or misuse of club facilities.

The club will make a reasonable effort to notify the member prior to suspension. In cases of serious violations, immediate suspension may occur without prior notice.

Members who believe a suspension was applied in error may submit a written appeal to info@bellevuebadminton.com. The club's decision following review is final.

No refund will be issued for the unused portion of a membership that is terminated due to policy violations.

All payments are processed through CourtReserve. A valid credit or debit card must be on file to complete registrations, reserve courts, or purchase passes.

We do not accept cash or checks as payment.

Prices are subject to change. Current pricing is always reflected in CourtReserve at the time of booking.

Refund and credit eligibility depends on the product or service purchased:

• Memberships: Memberships are generally non-refundable once activated. Exceptions may be considered for documented medical reasons — please contact info@bellevuebadminton.com.
• Training classes: See the Training Program Policies page for full class cancellation and refund details.
• Court reservations: See the Court Reservation Cancellations tab for details.
• Pro Shop purchases: Unopened merchandise in original packaging may be returned within 14 days with a receipt for store credit. No cash refunds on retail items.

All approved refunds are returned to the original payment method and may take 5–10 business days to process.

Court reservations may be cancelled through CourtReserve up to 2 hours before the reservation start time for a full credit to your CourtReserve account.

Cancellations made less than 2 hours before the start time, or no-shows, will not be eligible for a refund or credit.

Repeated no-shows (3 or more in a 30-day period) may result in temporary suspension of online booking privileges.

In the event the club must cancel a court reservation due to facility issues, maintenance, or emergency closures, affected members will receive a full credit to their CourtReserve account.
