A Proven Track Record
Derrick has won the Canadian National Champion title a remarkable 11 times, including 6 consecutive championships! Derrick is also a 9-time Pan American Champion, with a 3-year winning streak. And to top it off, Derrick has won 39 medals in international tournaments!

Right now, Derrick is coaching top athletes in the USA and Pan America, including USA Junior National Champions. He’s passionate about helping his students become great players and believes in fostering a culture of excellence from the very beginning of their training, all the way to high-performance and international levels.
As the Head Coach of Bellevue Badminton Club, Coach Derrick is at the forefront of coaching badminton in America as his curriculum, being taught in our classes, help over a thousand kids each year learn badminton step by step, helping them grow the proper foundation to make it easier for them to improve and achieve great results.
