Whether you’re a beginner, intermediate, or advanced player, mixers are a great way to meet and play with others. A staff member will group you with players of similar skill levels and ensure you get to experience fun, competitive matches!

Standard Mixer
Our Standard Mixer offers a relaxed, free-form playing environment. The event consists of 20-minute rounds during which a staff member will coordinate court assignments and partner pairings. When the event begins, pairings are generated via the UBR app, allowing for dynamic, unrestricted mixing without being confined to a pre-assigned group or court.
Womens Doubles Mixer
Our Women’s Doubles Mixer provides the same relaxed, free-form playing environment as our Standard Mixer, but exclusively for women.
Rotary Mixers
The Rotary Mixer introduces a structured format designed to ensure players rotate partners and opponents systematically. After check-in, players are assigned to a group where, in each round, they rotate within that group—playing with different partners and facing new opponents. Players record their own scores after every game.
How To Play
Register For Mixers
Create a Universal Badminton Rating (UBR) account and complete the 5-question self-evaluation to get started. Make sure your name and email match your CourtReserve Account.
Register and pay for the Mixer through CourtReserve. They tend to fill up fast so make sure you sign up as early as you can!
Play (Standard Doubles Mixer)
Show up 15 Minutes early to check in and warm up. You will need to check in at the front desk as well as with the staff member or volunteer running the mixer.
Players should provide at least one new feather shuttle to use each round during the event.
Players will play 20 minute rounds and a staff member or volunteer will coordinate court assignments and partners.
When the event starts, pairings will be generated on the UBR app. Check your account to see which court you are on for each round.
Record your scores after each completed game.
Play (Rotary Mixers – Bellevue Only)
Show up 15 minutes early to check in and warm up.
Players will be grouped according to their skill levels, ensuring fair matchups, and will face a fresh set of opponents for each game.

After Play (Rotary Mixer – Bellevue Only)
Please return the clipboard to the front desk once all scores have been recorded or mixer has ended.
Scores will be entered into the system as they are written on the scoresheet.
Become A Verified UBR Player!
To become a verified UBR player you need to play 25 or more rated games, and play against 15 or more Unique players.
Register and pay for the Mixer through CourtReserve. They tend to fill up fast so make sure you sign up as early as you can!
Standard Mixer Must-Knows
You do not have to win every game to maintain your rating. UBR is great way to measure your ability, and your rating will adjust according to how you perform against expectations, not strictly wins and losses. Visit the UBR FAQ for more information.
Prices Range from $11.99 – $15.75 depending on the Mixer.
You must qualify to participate in the Intermediate or Advanced Mixers.
Check UBR account after each Mixer to see how your rating has adjusted.

Rotary Mixers Must-Knows
Must be 18 years of age and an active member to participate, with exceptions for qualified advanced juniors.
